Well. That was fun.
Seriously, I haven't had this much fun in a long time. This is a great musical. It's light and funny, there's a good moral...I was telling my friend that I was sad that I hadn't gone to more rehearsals, so I didn't get to spend as much time with this play. That's how much I enjoy it.
On the bright side, I get to play it three more times before I have to say good-bye.
Knowing how fun this musical was kind of made me wish I had done the musicals in the past. Then I begin to hear horror stories from a few of my friends. The past two musicals have been pretty serious (Camelot, and The Secret Garden), these three-hour monsters with huge casts that pretty much left people hanging by a thread by the end. Rehearsals went from 4 until 9 some nights...Oy vey. Makes me glad that we have a small cast and a small orchestra.
The fun starts again Thursday night. Until then, I'm going to go watch a movie and relax and go to bed...and try to make it through finals week.
