The Nitty Gritty Stuff

Some things that you (maybe) would want to know about me:

• I am about to start my senior year of high school.
• I am a music geek. I am a member of my high school's instrumental program. I play the flute in concert band, piccolo in marching band, and guitar in jazz band. I am also kind of a general music geek. I am know for having a rather...ahem...bipolar selection of music on my iPod.
• While I am planning to go on to college, I have no idea as to what I want to study. I've been bouncing back and forth between English literature and music history and literature/music education. If it were a more popular degree option, I would probably study music theory.
• Regardless of what I choose to study, I want to write. I've been writing probably since I was able to hold a pencil/pen/crayon/marker in my hand and express (semi)complete thoughts.
• I'm an avid reader. Don't ask me what I like to read. I'm not even sure I know myself. I'll read just about anyting and everything.
• I also watch a lot of movies. I'm a sit-inside-on-a-rainy-afternoon-and-watch-movies-and-drink-coffee-or-hot-chocolate kind of girl.
• I want to travel. I've been kind of stuck in my own corner of the country for the past 17 years, and I feel a desperate need to get out and see the world. I hope this blog will allow me to do that.
