We all grow up with this instinct to be excited the night before something happens (i.e. Christmas Eve, New Years Eve, the night before your birthday, the night before school starts). Whether we know it or not, every day is an eve to something, but you don't necessarily now what it is until it happens when you wake up. You may have a pop quiz in school. You may get into a car accident. You may fall in love. You may lose someone who is close to you. But you never know...until it happens.
Today is an eve, of sorts, for me. Tomorrow morning starts band camp, my last band camp of high school, possibly ever. With waking up starts two full weeks of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. marching and music. I'm allowed but one solid week of "relaxation" between the end of camp and the start of school before the whirlwind begins yet again. Sports events, concerts, practices...not to mention our big trip to Hawaii in December. I have no doubts in my mind that this year will be amazing, it being my Senior year and all. But I don't know that, do I?
I guess I 'll just have to wake up and see.
